We’re actually planning on stopping by again before heading out LOL. The 1980 feature film Ordinary People features a scene at a Walker Bros. pancake house. Walker Bros. was also mentioned in the 2004 feature film Mean Girls. Food is great and consistently good quality. Coffee is the best in the city is a Kona blend.

Came here during a weekend trip to San Diego with my wife, and decided to try the baked pecan Dutch pancake. OMG it was delicious and well worth the 20 minute wait for it.

The servings are huge and it’s so delicious. We got the Dutch baby pancakes and this takes about 20+ mins. Will always come back for more. You can’t miss the sweet appley aroma when you walk by the restaurant… That’s from our famous baked pancakes that have made Richard Walker’s unlike any other. These fluffy masterpieces are baked to order (10-20 minutes), but your patience will be rewarded!

In 1996, Richard Sr. opened a second location in Crystal Lake, IL. In 2006, Richard Sr. relocated to San Diego and opened the third location in downtown San Diego, CA. In 2014, Richard Walker Jr. joined the family business and opened the fourth Richard Walker’s Pancake House in La Jolla, CA. In 2019 and 2020, Richard Jr. opened the fifth and sixth Richard Walker’s Pancake House in Carlsbad and Del Mar, CA, respectively.
